Frequently Asked Questions

What is the standard signature size for government exam forms?

Most government exams including UPSC, SSC, IBPS, and SBI require a signature image of 140x60 pixels in JPEG format. NEET and JEE use a larger 200x100 pixel signature.

What file size should my signature image be?

Most exam portals require the signature to be between 10KB and 20KB. After resizing to 140x60 px, use our Reduce to 20KB tool to compress it within the allowed range.

Can I use a digital signature image for exam forms?

No. All major government exam portals require a handwritten signature on white paper, scanned or photographed. Digitally generated or typed signatures are not accepted.

Why does my signature look too thin or small after resizing?

This happens when you do not crop tightly around the signature before resizing. Use the Crop Image tool to remove extra white space first, then resize to 140x60 px so the signature fills the frame.

What ink color should I use for my signature?

Black or dark blue ink on white paper gives the clearest result after scanning or photographing. Avoid light-colored inks, gel pens that smear, or pencil.
